Empowering Youth: TDM Malta Concludes Erasmus+ Project with Key European Decision Makers

During the final meeting of the Erasmus+ funded project Youth Work Seal held in Belgium, two members of TDM 2000 Malta joined other partners to wrap up the project. We concluded the results, compiled the reports, and prepared dissemination materials to be published on Youth Work Seal.

We capitalised on our results by presenting them to decision-makers in informal meetings. We discussed the importance of youth participation in society, emphasising that interest and involvement in politics and democratic processes are essential not only for youth workers but also for society’s sustainability.

During our brief stay in Belgium, we visited the European Parliament in Brussels, gaining a firsthand understanding of the democratic processes that drive our continent forward. We met with various stakeholders and policymakers, including MEPs from the S&D parliamentary group, Hon. Dr Alex Agius Saliba and Hon. Dr Thomas Bajada, as well as Hon. Dr Peter Agius and the President of the European Parliament, Hon. Dr Roberta Metsola, from the EPP parliamentary group. Their feedback and commendation of the work carried out by the partners added significant quality to our project.

The decision-makers generously expressed their availability for future endeavours and their support for youth organisations like ours. We believe that the combination of our work in this project and the support of decision-makers provides an ideal foundation for TDM 2000 International to enhance the quality of its youth work and encourage greater youth involvement in societal activities.
