The chosen participants will have the opportunity to represent their country in this project and collaborate with other like-minded individuals on activities involving the creation and development of sports youth councils. Participants will learn about the principles of youth participation, the role of youth councils in sports organisations, and the steps to establish and sustain these councils. The training will focus on developing a comprehensive strategy and action plans for youth councils, ensuring they serve as effective mechanisms for youth leadership and involvement in the democratic life of their communities.

The project aims to:

• Promote equal opportunities and active participation for all citizens among the local youth populations.
• Encourage the involvement of young people in social and political life by involving them in decision-making processes.
• Offer platforms for youth to voice issues affecting them, ensuring their contributions are considered in designing solutions.
• Enhance the role of sports as a tool for empowerment, channelling the passion and ideas of young people to be relevant at the local level.
• Promote cross-sectoral cooperation among youth and sports organisations to exchange best practices and work together on common issues.
• Highlight the importance of Erasmus+ and the European Union in developing aware and active young sportspeople and citizens.

Accommodation and food at the venue are FULLY COVERED. Travel costs amounting to €275 will be fully REIMBURSED.
